This one-day event will look at: factors which affect maths and numeracy learning; testing to diagnose difficulties; setting up programmes to help overcome the difficulties and using strategies and resources to teach particular areas of mathematics and numeracy.

Post-16 Functional Skills Support Programme closure
The Functional Skills Support Programme closes on 31st August 2010. From September onwards there will be no further post-16 central support for functional skills. Functional Skills support for LAs and schools from National Strategies will continue until March 2011.
